What is Teer?
Teer is a unique archery-based archery-based traditional game that is legally regulated and culturally significant in Meghalaya, India. Sanctioned by the Meghalaya Amusements and Participation Tax Act, it is organized by licensed archery clubs and associations.
In each game, a group of trained archers shoot a fixed number of arrows at a cylindrical target. The last two digits of the total number of arrows that successfully hit the target form the declared result number for that round. The resulting number is officially declared as the outcome for that round.
