What is Teer?

Teer is a unique archery-based traditional game that is legally regulated and culturally significant in Meghalaya, India. Sanctioned by the Meghalaya Amusements and Participation Tax Act, it is organized by licensed archery clubs and associations.

In each game, a group of trained archers shoot a fixed number of arrows at a cylindrical target. The last two digits of the total number of arrows that successfully hit the target form the declared result number for that round. The resulting number is officially declared as the outcome for that round.

How We Cover Teer

InstantTeerResults.in is an independent sports-information site that covers the four licensed Teer counters in Meghalaya. Our role is narrow: we publish the officially declared archery result for each round after it is announced at the licensed ground, and we write long-form pieces explaining the rules, the law, and the cultural tradition behind the sport. We are not a prediction service, not an agent network, and not affiliated with any conducting association.

Every number we publish has passed a verification step against multiple independent public sources. The Data Operations team handles the daily check; the Editorial Desk reviews the wording on every page; the Legal Research team reviews disclaimers and regulatory framing; and the Sports Desk writes the counter-specific coverage. No piece publishes without cross-team review.

If you are new to Teer, the cleanest starting points are our beginner guide to Shillong Teer and our explainer on Teer's legal status in India. If you want to understand how we work, the methodology page walks through our verification process and the editorial policy sets out our standards.
